I think the jury is still out. They confiscated the DNA samples (of the mummies) taken by Victor Mair and his associates. Wouldn't it be appropriate if it turns out that their flag is based on something said by people from the west.

If they were not so insecure, they would place this in context and realise that the glory of their people was already set by the culture that gave rise to Confucius centries earlier. You take a look at how many semi-disparit cultures culture made up China versus the Han mania of today's communists and shake your head. They pour people into Tibet and overwhelm the Ughars -- all to their loss. They would not have such a fundamentalist problem in the west if not for their own actions. Rant over.
