Stop complaining, and suck it up and help pay for the huge increases in social spending the over-50 set are voting in for themselves. We only need a few hundred Billion more to pay for socal_parrot's new prescription drug benefits, etc.

It might make them feel guilty that they want someone else to pay expenses for them so that they can enjoy an upgraded retirement. Yes, it's true that our age bracket will most likely be taxed into poverty in order to pay for these new expenses, only to have Social Security collapse before our own retirements. However, voicing your displeasure with this plan just makes you a whiner.

So, please stop whining about you and your children's future, and think instead about taking care of the only people that matter - the "ME generation".

Now get back to work, you have a lot of bills to pay.

You'll notice that most of these benefits were voted in by "The Greatest Generation" for "The Greatest Generation"...that is, WWII vets.

Personally I'm on the younger end of the "Baby Boomer" generation, and I expect Social Security will be bankrupt before I get back much of what I've paid in. I'd much rather be able to invest that money in a 401K or similar plan.
