While we all think this is about Howard Stern now...it will be about Rush, Hannity, Savage and Beck tomorrow. Eventually, the democrats will run the government again, and they will use all these powers congress passed to stifle conservative speech and the rights of conservatives to surf the web or donate to their causes.

We should have nothing to be celebrating today.

what they do is political speech. a constant drumbeat describing anal sex over the public airwaves is hardly the same.

And if Howard Stern is allowed to continue with his perversion schtick, the 'rats (when in power) will leave conservatives alone? Is that your argument?

The bush administration is said to be telegraphing this one will NOT be signed into law.

Dead in the Senate is very very likely.

and you are exactomundo dittos on the actual use of this law, should it ever see the light of day...

I remember the dems twisted rico laws to go after christian groups over the freedom of speech to protest abortion. and did it successfully... problem is, RICO was an anti organized crime statute designed specificially for the mafiosa and drug cartels.

"We should have nothing to be celebrating today"

Correct, weather you like Howard or not is beside the point. This is about dismantling the 1st Amendment. And as usual the holy rollers can’t get lined up fast enough to give away rights if they believe it will bring about their God fearing utopia.
