I wonder why Ann pulled her punches with Krauthammer--but she may be as exhausted as everyone else.
The whole ordeal sure opened my eyes--and these gasbags don't have the tenure they think they do. It's the last time I'll take them seriously. I know, now, what they really think of the American Christian.

I don't know what they think of the American Christian but they show an astounding ignorance about Christianity istelf. I am not talking about just the Jewish critics. One of the worst was from James Caroll from the Boston Globe. He is a former priest who left the priesthood and got married to a former Nun and is a total radical. He seems to think that only scholars like himself can really know what the Gospels mean and that any retelling of the Passion is ipso facto "anti semitic". You see- regular people like you and me are going to run out into the street and kill Jews after seeing this film or even reading the bible without people like Carrol telling us what it means (and what it means to him just happens to match every one of his left wing ideological beliefs.)
But you are right- this whole experience really has been any eye opener for me.

And as a post script to my last post, I think the Jewish critics of this film are just as ignorant on Jewish theology as well. Some of the biggest defenders and even supporters of this film have been from traditional religous and Orthodox Jews.
