Brendan Daly, '80 spoke about politics and public relations. Brendan graduated from Duke University in 1984 and currently works as the Communications Director for the House Democratic Leader's office. Before joining Congresswoman Pelosi's office in 2002 Brendan coordinated media operations for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and for former U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky. Earlier, Daly worked as a spokesman for the Peace Corps from 1996 to 2000, and as press secretary to then-Rep. Gerry Studds, D-Mass., from 1993 to 1996.
