Just pointing out the tangled web of those who bring foreign influence into the DC swamp. Do you think they will arrest Perle any time soon?
As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot. How many opportunities do they afford to tamper with domestic factions, to practice the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, to influence or awe the public councils.

Funny you would quote one past Patriot in another rotten attempt to slime a present one. George Washington was not averse to an alliance with a foreign power since French assistance was crucial in winning the Revolutionary War. His concern 15 years later was that the Jeffersonians alliance with France would lead to civil war and dismemberment of the Union.
And, of course, you attempt to obscure the point entirely by trying to equate "foreign influence" with SPYING. It didn't work.
