Ah, the yins and yangs of idea progression. All successful movements have had internal competition and conflicts. Without purges the ideas get lost. With out the purged, the ideas stagnate. Without such growing pains, there would be nothing to coalesce. Movements are always much bigger than the sum total of their parts. An impossibility according to Rand and most all Objectivists. No wonder it has taken the Objectivists so long to grow into a movement.

It never sought to "grow into a movement" as much as it never sought to grow into a Top40 Country & Western album.
What areas of "growth" would you seek in Objectivism to make it good news to you?
