Our GOP Senate hasn't been much help. No, they haven't. And the staffers run things. Who vetted all the hundreds of staffers? Other staffers? Anyone? Campaign contributions? Bill Clinton's WH wasn't the only sieve. It appears to me that $$$$$ can buy most anything in DC. Just look at the judiciary committee. Both sides.

That Palestinian Hamas terrorist Sami al-Arian who was a university professor in Florida's son was also a Congressional assistant. I seem to recall him having worked for Baghdad Bonoir. Can anyone pull up the story? I don't have time to research it right now.
