Not to mention the family of the person you shot.
I didn't think about that part. There is probably nothing you could say to the family that would justify shooting their loved one. Even if there loved ones shot first. I really do feel for those guys.

We have two guys involved in two seperate recent shootings. One was a mental call. Two cops got there and the guy had a knife. He stabbed one of the cops and the other cop shot him in the chest, killing him. This happened right in front of the dead mans family. They had called the police because they couldn't control him any longer.

Initially the father of the deceased said the police did what they had to do. I guess grief got the better part of him and now he's suing. The cop that did the shooting is one of the nicest guys on the dept., very laid back. He really has suffered after the shooting, though he was cleared and the shooting was legitimate.
