Miramar crash victims identified
Marine Corps officials have identified the four Marines killed when their UC-35D aircraft crashed on approach to a flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The Marines killed are:
Lieutenant Colonel Peter T. Nicholson, 44, the pilot. A native of Seattle, he had 21 years in service.
Lieutenant Colonel Robert Zeisler, 46, the co-pilot. Originally from Alexandria, Va., he had 23 years in service.
Gunnery Sergeant Francisco I. Cortez, 42, a crewmember. Originally from Dededo, Guam, he had 20 years in service.
Lance Corporal Jeremy M. Lindroth, 23, a crewmember. The native of Ione, Calif., had 2 years in service.
All four were assigned to Marine Corps Air Bases Western Area. The UC-35D is a military version of a Cessna Citation plane.
