The Sacramento County supervisors got their first taste Tuesday of the public ire sure to be unleashed if they slash maintenance along the American River Parkway and allow the region's open-space jewel to rot.
Entire days would pass without patrols and illegal camping would flourish, said Ron Suter, county parks director.

The Grange has plans in the works to give these kids a program to go to if 4H is cut. The Grange started 4H and we will not let these kids down. We have an active youth fair program already and have been given special dispensation by the Fair Board to let these kids show their animals if the program is defunded.
