At the Sept. 20, 2001 joint session of Congress, President Bush proclaimed, "I will not yield, I will not rest, I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people." And in his latest book, "Bush Country" John Podhoretz reminds us that in George W. Bush, America has a leader committed to America and its values. He is a leader which history will single out for greatness.

I didn't see any reference in the article to the headline used on this thread, but I agree with it...We may indeed be seeing today Kerry's high water mark in the polls. Let's hope he actually gets the nomination before he and his campaign actually implode.

I'm really afraid that he won't be the nominee. There's plenty to give the Libs second thoughts. They do have the option of a brokered convention, and I could easily see a nominee sneaking in without any time to expose his/her record. It would be a perfect scenario for hillary - she couldn't survive a long campaign, but she could do well as the one who "came to the rescue".

Ah, but a Hillary campaign might get the "I'm-going-to-sit-home-and-pout-because-Bush-isn't-conservative-enough-for-me" voters out to the polls in November. It may not be all bad.

btw, I'm half way through this book and I highly recommend it. GREAT read!

A hillary campaign would also get out the clintoon lovers. I really think the political divide in this country is between the clintoons and the people who dislike what they've done to the country.
I don't know which contingent is larger, but billy did win twice.

I plan to get the book as soon as I'm through with Sean's latest. I like it.
