An influential Democratic senator Monday vowed to filibuster a proposal that would allow oil exploration in an Alaska wildlife refuge because the Bush administration's justification for the controversial move was "muddled at best and cynical at worst."

He's opposed to creating jobs in America. Talk about who is playing politics in an election year. The Democrats have set things up so they benefit politically only if people suffer or things go bad for America.

Wait a minute.
Hoffa, on Hardball, stated he had the same understanding w/Kerry that he had w/Bush, that ANWAR would be opened, the natural gas pipeline would be supported and there "would be drilling all over the country".
Now, Kerry is going back on the unions? And this reporter did not immediately call Hoffa for a rection? The unions will take this quietly? It will be a public filibuster that cannot be wiggled out of by saying Kerry will do the same thing Bush will do, only differently?
My head is spinning faster than Kerry's campaign.
We need citizen's groups out there protesting!

We need citizen's groups out there protesting! What is needed is someone flinging Kerry's butt in jail for his war crimes in Vietnam.

The article was published in 2001.

Thanx! I missed that.
Same old flip-flop Kerry. I suppose the enviros will give him a pass on promising to drill in order to (wink, wink) get the unions onboard.

Ah yes, the ends justify the means. ;^) The depth of support for Kerry is shallow. The interesting number in the polls is over 60% of the support of Kerry is anti-Bush, only 30% is pro-Kerry. That should be emphasized over and over again.
