Four of the five men who have been returned to Britain after being detained for two years at Guantanamo Bay have been arrested on their arrival under Britain's Terrorism Act.

The five men arrived on a military plane at an Air Force base in west London this morning Australian time.

Anti-terrorism officers were on board and arrested four of the ex-detainees as soon as the plane touched down.

Under British law that means the men can be held without charge for up to 14 days.

The fifth man has been detained but not arrested by police.

He could be questioned for up to nine hours.

Another four Britons remain in US detention at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

They are expected to face a US military commission just like Australian David Hicks.

Supporters of the five British men are now calling for their release from police custody in Britain.

Maxine Fiddler wants her brother Jamel Udeen to return home.

"I don't know why they have to be interrogated again - they've been through so much up until now," Ms Fiddler said.

Poor Muslims...

They're so misunderstood.
If only we (Western Culture) would understand that they are just trying to bring us to the light.

I read about a few terrorists who were returned by the USA to Mother Russia, too. No doubt they miss the good old days of fine dining and luxury at Gitmo.
