Please add that the Peaceful Tomorrows news conference was "arranged" and "paid for" by Moveon.org.

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/world/8122223.htm

A news conference Friday by Peaceful Tomorrows, a group of victims' relatives, was arranged by MoveOn.org, a Berkeley-based group that has been running ads critical of Bush. The relatives questioned the use of the images for political gain.

But a group of families who lost loved ones held a news conference in New York on Friday to say they found the advertisements offensive. Officials at Moveon.org., a liberal advocacy group, said they paid for the event.

Once again, good job Freepers. Very impressed. Sorry I signed in too late to join in on the USA Freep).

It never ceases to amaze me that so called journalists working for major media don't know the facts before writing their articles. Naive me, I always thought that's what journalist did, dug up facts for a story. There really is no excuse for the media's laziness, except plain bias. Why should a housewife in Alpharetta GA know more about the story than the political editor at a major newspaper? Every time I call CNN I am told the same thing - "CNN is still researching this story".

See maggiefluffs comments above. The NYT can say that it knew the connection, and has already fully reported it.

We've hit them pretty well. Gwen was not interested but apparently the original reporter was very interested. He told another FReeper that he wished he had that info before writing the story and that they were investigating. Thanks for making the call. Let's see who we have to hit tomorrow.

maybe if enough freepers sent a copy of the story to their LOCAL papers, sooner or later mainstream would have to pick it up

"Our message to all politicians is, 'Keep your hands off Ground Zero,' " said David Potorti, of Cary, N.C., a member of Peaceful Tomorrows, one of the families' organizations. His brother Jim, 52, died at the World Trade Center. ---end excerpt---"

Incredible; and of course, 9/11 is not 'his' or 'theirs'.

Would gladly ask that they take their bleeding Leftist hearts back over to Afghanistan.

Meantime, I will e-mail USA Today. But it does not sound like these people can be shamed.

"Hannity is all over it again"

Hope he goes there in greater detail tonight as well - right now, on Rush's case.
