Proposed by someone pushing a cradle to grave agenda.

Don't be too surprised if this gathers steam..

Mark Murphy, 17, of Santa Rosa explains why he backs a bid to lower the voting age at a Capitol news conference Monday. At left is the proposal's principal author, Sen. John Vasconcellos, D-Santa Clara.

They have already robbed the graveyard for voters, now they are going to include the cradle for votes. The Demonocrats are scared . . . they are looking for all the votes they can dig up.

We already have too many 20-60 year olds with a childlike understanding of how the government works! I would be more in favor of raising the voting age and age for military!

As the proud mother of a 15 year old who claims to be conservative, I think he is more libertarian but he doesn't really know what that means yet, letting this age group vote would be a big mistake. Sounds like the Dems are looking for a new constituency.

Ballots cast by 14-and 15-year-olds would count as a quarter of a vote.

Sounds vaguely familiar.

And if they're old enough to vote, they're old enough to marry. I bet the men/boy outfit is behind this. I wonder how many of these people are for lowering the draft age too?

Gee, why not really "level" the playing field and only allow homosexuals the right to vote.

Hey, go for it, California. The first time some rock star is elected governor of California, you'll be falling all over yourselves to reverse the law.

The legal age of consent is 18 in CA.
They want to give the right to vote and
determine the future of our country to
children that they think are not adult
enough to have consensual sex. Brilliant!

I've become so cynical that the first thing I wondered was how many of these 14 to 17 year-olds are anchor babies.

People should have to pass a voting test to vote; just simple questions on the responsbilities of the people they are voting for.

I hate when election time comes around and people say "I'm going to vote for so-and-so; he's cuter".
