The question: Do those stock owners give Bush credit for the rise in the market?

Well, no one would give Bush any credit for anything if it is up to the Bush communication team!

Bush is off message, he doesn't what to say about the economy, his communication team sucks.

He let the outsourcing flap, the jobs number flap stuck onto his campaign - there were no defense, no offense, just plain old NOTHING. They could have come out swinging and said outsourcing is bad, protectionism is worse, we need to open borders for trade or we risk the mistakes of the economic isolationism of the 1930s.

On the jobs number, they could have said, those numbers are from the economists, the President care about real jobs from real people, not some numbers on the paper. Said the President will try his best to not just meet the 2.6 million number but beat it. But in order for him to do so, he need all the help from industry leaders, congressional leaders and the American people for the journey.

I really don't know what is going on with the Bush campaign so far, the communication is the WORST in class. They let little problems/charges to fester, to linger around and without answers.

I know the President can't speak effectively in a scripted mode, but I never imagine his campaign communication team is so poor in quality.

As for the stock market, he could EASILY point out the market bottomed when he got tough with the corporate criminals, when he enacted his tax cuts - lower cap gains and dividend tax cuts, the acceleration of depreciation schedules allow small biz to buy more computers, more machine tools - so if you see your intel, ibm, cisco, 3M, deer, Illinois tools - went up 80% sincde last yr, you can thank that to the President's policies.

Do I expect the campiagn will make such a forceful argument, hell no, I'd be rolling off my bed if the communication team find its message at all. This election will be won by energizing the base, capture a majority in the independent votes, so far, I find very little to cheer for, let's face it, the President communication team is not just getting a failing grade, it is getting lowest 99 percentile grade.
