What am I missing here. Kerry supposedly has an 8 point lead, but....

Not that I put anything in CBS/CNN polls, but don't these numbers look pretty stupid?

That's easy. Who they think will win is a lagging number. The last time they thought about it, Bush was supposed to win. They hadn't seen a Kerry-ahead-poll yet.

Agree with other posters that the Bush team is off their game. Very weak responses and some stupid moves.
