60 is not out of the question. I think the Republicans have a chance to pick up 8-10 seats. The dems have to defend more seats and those are also more precarious. Remember that the south has just about completely gone Republican in the past 8 Prez elections. Breaux in La was a shoo-in for re-election, but now that seat is a tossup. Several others as well. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R) is leaving, but Colorado is a good safe Republican state. The Prez race is critical, but Bush will win and I predict he will have huge coattails. Texas redistricted and will add 10-12 House seats for the Republicans.
National security is #1 issue and we all know we cant trust a Dem on that issue. Also remember the Dems have been in a free fall for 10 yrs, thanks to the Clintons. We shall see.....
