LONDON (Reuters) - George W. Bush and Tony Blair probably knew they were exaggerating the threat from Iraq when they were making the case for war, according to former chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix.
The U.S. president and the British prime minister ignored the few caveats in reports from intelligence services on Iraq's nuclear, chemical or biological weapons programs, he writes in his account of the months leading up to the U.S.-led invasion.

So! Blix accuses Americans of being insincere ("...leaders of whom some sincerity should be asked..."), non-critical ("...it would not have taken much critical thinking on their ...part") thinkers (translation: Americans Are Stupid). At least this time he did it to our face, instead of behind our backs in the time-honored Scandinavian tradition.
Anybody up for debunking the Blix Myth once and for all? (i.e., that he carries any credibility whatsoever in the international community, seeing as he pandered to Hussein for 12 long and chock-full o' WMD years)

Nearly a year after the invasion and overthrow of Saddam, the coalition has not found illegal weapons in Iraq. Wrong. Illegal long range missles, undeclared missles and a few nasty biologicals, anthrax and botulinum. Another shameful CNN story.

Good point Lance, it reads like an article from Sueddeutsche Zeitung or Le Figaro - not like an article from someone who is against the Hussein regime or is on the side of the Americans. Did you get a load of the writer's stance that "[Blix] appears to soften his criticism of the British and American leaders." Yeah right, that's the moment when he calls us non-critically thinking dumbbells. Thanks CNN, for once again reminding us that you are an agent of the vocal Leftist minority, if not Al Qaida itself (you've admirably left that to your subsidiary Al Jazeera). If you were more subtle, we might actually take you seriously - seeing how dumb we are 'n all.
