[history]
By now, political analysts of every stripe have read the entrails of the March 2 primary election and have divined meaningful information about the "will of the people" as they "spoke" on Election Day. I'm never sure how much any given election actually means, given how little most people know about what or for whom they are voting, but some broad conclusions are valid, nevertheless.

The landslide victory margins for Proposition 57, which floats a bond to cover the past administration's massive debt, and Proposition 58, a balanced-budget requirement that is supposed to stop the overspending from happening again, represent a resounding victory for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. He now has more clout as he lobbies for workers' compensation reform.
Kellynla, would you like some ketchup for that crow you're eating? :)
Arnold RULES. . . McClinkooks DROOL!

What were they saying?
We're gonna give Conan the Republican whatever he wants, at least for now.
I'm hoping that carries over into the Senate race.

I'm confused. I could have sworn Proposition 55 went down to a narrow defeat, with slightly under 50% of the vote.
Tragically, here in Los Angeles, our local school construction initiative succeeded. Why we trust the geniuses who gave us the $200 million plus Belmont High School project, which has yet to see a single pupil and probably never will, I know not.
Love him or hate him, Arnold's a true leader and very impressive. He's not perfect for us because the views of the legislature aren't either. We hired him to stop gridlock and work with everyone in government to get the job done, and that's exactly what he's doing.
This, in my view, is what Kellynla simply does not understand.

I (for one) would welcome seeing a more detailed Fiscal-conservative-centric look at the election results.

I'm confused. I could have sworn Proposition 55 went down to a narrow defeat, with slightly under 50% of the vote. Unfortunately, it eventually passed by a margin of a little more than 1%.
Many politicians endorsed it, including Arnold Schwarzenegger. Who knows if that made the difference.
