Exactly. I think the nation's treatment of Bill and Hillary misled Martha into believing that lying was now perfectly acceptable, even in legal investigations and proceedings.

The same story can be told of Hillary, and she has been elected Senator after no experience at all in elected office.

Also, Martha had rich celebrity Democrats who supported her, so she must have thought the jury would be swayed.
