The downside is that half of those jobs created are for government employees, and the other half for illegal aliens.

You made the claim now back it up.

I wrote: "The downside is that half of those jobs created are for government employees, and the other half for illegal aliens." To which you collectively replied: "You made the claim now back it up."

Are you too touchy to recognize satirical criticism? Since Bush has been in office, he's been spending enormous amounts of our tax dollars on bloated government programs (hence, the reference to "half the jobs created for government employees"), and he's been enticing more illegal aliens to stream into America with his overtures of amnesty and other open-border concessions to Vicente Fox (hence the reference to "half the jobs going to illegals").

Was my comment an exaggeration? Yes, probably... eh, possibly... eh, hmmm, well who knows? With one out of seven Americans working for some branch of government in this country, it isn't a stretch to imagine 1.2 million new government jobs being created in a four year period under any spendthrift president. And with the almost complete abrogation of control of our borders, combined with a "do not deport" attitude, combined with an offer of amnesty... well, again it isn't difficult to imagine that the ranks of 7-9 million illegal aliens haven't swelled by another million in the past four years.

When it comes to criticizing the Dems, I guess all's fair. But don't we dare criticize "one of our own," eh? Fortunately, I'm an independent conservative so I can criticize any politician who fails to uphold the Constitution and promote conservative principles.
