So you have almost know education, that explains it. Please, tell me more about your history of the Spanish in the Americas, I am really curious.

The real kicker is Mexico (Mexico City really)  "controlled" (tried to control but the Comanches whipped their a$$es) the USA southwest for a grand total of 25 years. 

Another one is there are very few USA Hispanics who can trace their lineage back to before our conquest of 1848. There are families in New Mexico and Texas who can point back that far but their numbers are few. The vast bulk of Hispanics came here after WW2. After 1950. In 1950 the continental USA Hispanics were 1-2% of the population. This doesn't include Puerto Ricans offshore.
