For the life of me I still haven't seen what Dubya has done that has engendered such hatred from some quarters. Talking to them you'd think he was the devil incarnate.

Saw that on a lefty website - literally - the writer claimed Bush is anti-Christ. I tell you, they're all going over the edge in their seething rage.

It's about good vs evil. Good wants to enhance the individual and strengthen society as a truimph over tribalism. Evil wants to enslave the individual and destroy society as a truimph of despotism. It's really that simple.

He won in 2000, that's what he did to get all their hatred. Their anger at him is amazing to watch. Many of them aren't old enough to remember a time when people may not have voted for a president, but they still respected him for the office he held and didn't consider him the anti-Christ!
actually, according to an interview on mtv with the lead singer, Brandon Boyd, the song is actually a reference to the bands bass guitarist who was going to leave the band thinking he'd be more successful going solo.
