Roy Black Comments on Reports of Judge Schwartz' Addiction and Treatment

Rush Limbaugh's attorney Roy Black made the following comment today regarding published reports about the addiction and treatment of Palm Beach County Judge Robert Schwartz.

"After admitting an eight-year addiction, Judge Schwartz entered treatment voluntarily and was praised by the community, not investigated and never prosecuted by the Palm Beach State Attorney's Office. This was sensitive and appropriate for someone facing such a difficult personal challenge. All we're asking is that Rush Limbaugh be treated the same."

Roy Black feeds dirt on this Judge to Drudge, then responds to the "report" in the press.

Too Clintoninan for my tastes.

And you KNOW that Black is the source of the info on the judge? Drudge has been a vocal defender and admirer of Limbaugh for years on his (Drudge's) radio program, so I wouldn't doubt for a minute that Drudge did some work on this.

Even if Black is the ultimate source, the Palm Beach County DA's Office stopped playing fair long ago. The influence of McAuliffe and the Clintons is IMHO barely hidden. Y'know it's pretty bad if the ACLU can actually hold its nose and come to Rush's defense re the prescription and doctors' records.

Both sides are going scorched-earth. Limbaugh's scorching team would appear to have the upper hand at the moment. Good for him.

I personally want the PBC DA's office cleaned out completely if they conclude they're at a dead end. I suspect they ultimately will drop their investigation (after the election, of course).

Yes, much better that Rush submit quietly to the kangaroo court proceedings.

How dare Rush fight fire with fire.

Actually the FL Bar's treatment program is very very confidential. It is very "odd" that any attorney would find out about this. The people who would know this are the staffers, and bailiffs of the judge.

It does not take a lot of money, it just takes talking to a few people. The courthouses are proof that gossip does travel faster than the speed of light.

How would you know Black "fed" it to Drudge ..?? I thought the story was in a Palm Beach paper and Drudge picked it up. That's hardly what I would call being "fed" to Drudge.

I bet anything that Black went to the scumbag Democrat prosecutor, and probably that judge, some time ago and mused aloud about whether the public should be reminded about this story so that it could be compared to Limbaugh's treatment. No way were they blindsided.

Clintonian? Maybe, but it's a perfect strategy to use against these persecutors. I only wonder if the addicted judge is a Democrat? If so, then all the better.

Roy Black? Not odd at all. Rush knew exactly what he was doing when he hired this guy. Guaranteed, there's plenty more "dirt" where this came from, and Black will mete it out like Chinese water torture.

What truly baffles me is why this prosecutor has stayed in the game so long? He should have found a way to make this case go away the minute he heard who Rush had hired. This prosecutor is either really stupid or.... Or what? I dunno....

sorry that was not my point. The point is that any judges addiction would be a very badly kept secret. It would not have taken much effort to find this. Palm Beach has other judicial skeletons. The problem is that such rummors can often be traced to those in the know.
