It was the so-called "women's movement" and the creepy men behind them (like Henry Beecher, who promoted adultery and pagan tenets).
As for employers, I've had three different ones at interviews tell me with nasty smiles, "I'm not interested in hiring you, but I'd like to have your wife put in an application.
Per family: two jobs at lower pay, two houses, two cars, two of everything where only one was once required for each family (so what are the environmentalists going on about?). This policy fills the labor pool to keep wages down, and it's not enough, obviously. Because with their recent lobbying, they're bringing hordes more from the south.
Corporatism leads directly to socialism. The rival gangs against the bosses are probably going to be taking over, shortly. Policy against family is certainly in place for it
