Please name one thing Mel included in this film that was not in "Jesus Christ Superstar" 30 years ago.

Good point. Because that movie portrayed Jesus in such a human way, and had that sub-plot of Mary Magdelene being in love with him, I guess the portrayal of the evil Ciaphas (plotting His death and mocking him) got a pass.

I could be wrong but I have read the resurrection is absent in Jesus Christ Superstar and present in Mel Gibson's Passion. This from a Christian perspective is no small omission.
