Has it been awhile since there have been any US deaths in Iraq? Seems like a couple weeks at least. I'm sure the media is very disappointed that they can't use the " -insert number- deaths since President Bush has declared major combat to be over"

I think one soldier died the day of the Shiite bombings, but that's been it for the last 2 weeks. It's definitely trending downward.

February ended on a positive note for Coalition forces as it was the lowest casualty month with the lowest casualty rate since the war began. Compared with January, U.S. fatalities dropped over 50% to 20. It was over 75% less fatalities than November which had 82 deaths. Overall, 549 U.S. have lost their lives, 456 if which were due to hostile fire.
