And you never WILL be able to. However, if you read the American Spectator's back issues, you'll discover that our Russki friend is not only correct--he's also talking about the same people who financed BOTH of X42's elections.
However, there has to be some reason why we've entered into these agreements and organizations. It couldn't possibly be because we benefit from trade and on the flip side also fear the retaliation when we decide to be one-way mother----ers.
Refer to my response above. It was X42 who secured PNTR for Red China (along with the useful idiot, Gingrich.)
By the way, what the hell is A Russian doing "outsourcing" his opinion on the FR? ; )
Same thing as you are. Fortunately, HIS opinion is educated, and international.
Next he'll be telling us that the voting machines were delivered and operable 20 years ago over there, and that PRChina is "the greatest market EVER SEEN BY MAN" for consumer products such as Ford SUV's, Deere garden tractors, and made-in-America kitchen centers.
Ya know, that's exactly what I was just about to write and you stole my thunder...damn you! Have you been reading my other posts where I've been espousing the grandure of the PRC? Just wondering, because I've been trying to keep that side of my infatuation with the Chinese on the downlow so that I don't get ganged up on by the FReepers. How did you manage to expose me?
Now, seriously. Toss aside the hyperbole, what the hell do we do about China? lets set aside the bulls--t and discuss solutions - this may require some maturity on your part ninenot, are you up for that?
Should we encourage isolation regarding China? They own quite a bit of our government debt. Has economic liberalization brought about a more dangerous or a more stable China or both? Should Christian conservatives (based on what I've seen from tag-lines and etcetera, I believe that you both fall into this camp) finance and fully encourage Christian missionaries to continue to their underground proselytizing in China and if so, what are you doing in the effort? And what can be done politically to accomplish the same means more quickly? Is China moving more toward freedom now as things are? If we did isolate China it would be interesting to see if our allies followed suit. Just how could we isolate China, officially, anyway? I don't think that we could or should restrict trade but it could certainly be encouraged. Would that work against us and set us back or do you really think we're heading backward in regards to China as it is? As a conservative American do you even give a crap about the ordinary people or do you think the bastards should have enough stones to start a major revolt on their own? Now take off your conservative glasses and put on your Christian ones?
What do you two think.
