Man of the Year: Sam Dash, formerly Ken Starr's right-hand-man, who had the courage to quit and expose Starr's witch-hunt.

Woman of the Year: a tie between Hillary Clinton, who nailed the "get-Clinton" vendetta as "a vast right-wing conspiracy," and Susan McDougal, who served 18 months in prison for refusing to lie about the Clintons.
