Bingo! Computerize the things to make them more efficient, and they're more efficient for the bad guys, too.

I think a paper trail has to be mandatory, so that any questions of corruption can be investigated. If Safeway can give you a paper print-out of your purchases as they go into their computers, it seems to me a simple task to do the same with the voting machines.
