I suspect the NYPost tomorrow will find just as many firefighters and family members of WTC victims who DO approve of the Bush ads.
And if the NYPost doesn't, others will.
Some Bush supporters won't need to be "found" -- they'll come forward.
There were 2 or 3 NYC firefighters supportive of the ad who called Mark Levin's radio program tonight (WABC-NY). And that's only an hour long show.

My letter to CBS
You have an anchor Dan Rather that has attended college and I would suspect, his major was journalism. The object of an anchor is to report the news, without any of their own feelings inserted into what they are reporting.Tonight(3-4-04)Dan Rather forgot what he was taught about reporting.By inserting his own feeling,he was showing us not the news, but his point of view.I do not care what Dan Rather thinks about a certain situation. What I do care about is watching the news and forming my own opinion about the topic that is being discussed. If news is to be reported with everyone giving their own opinion ,then it is not news.It may as well be Jerry Springer,Oprah or any other talk show.It is obvious that Mr.Rather does not like this President and maybe if he can't contain his feeling he should step aside and let someone else anchor the news that can. Please tell Mr.Rather that I as an American will always remember September 11th.I also remember a President that brought this nation together to get us through this horrific event,he did not play political games,he set a course to eliminate those who brought this event on us.He has every right in the world to remind American of that event and the consequences of what happens when you look the other way while terrorist are plotting.Mr.Rather how many Americans died in Vietnam?I do not hear your complaining about the thousands of times John Kerry has used his Vietnam references for political gain.So Mr Rather do everyone a favor and keep your opinions to yourself. We can form our own thank you!

The whole outrage is a DNC talking point plant. They were waiting for this in ads and had their "blast" faxes and "blast"emails ready to go.
How much do you want to be the "outraged" families have been waiting inthe wings for their DNC masters?

Thanks for writing. We must let them know that we are taking note of their bias.
However, I believe these so called journalists will be a source of determination to get out and vote.
Rather and a few other 'journalists' have announced that they will be retiring AFTER the election. They feel they have nothing to lose if their bias is blatant and they will do all in their power to influence the election.
We must do all in our power to see that President Bush is re-elected.
I contacted CNN today and made two calls to congress.
Every day we must take the opportunity to speak up, write, or call our elected officials.

As Hugh's strongest critic on this forum, let me just say he has been simply outstanding the past two weeks. When he is not frivolous, he is the best there is on radio.

Here is my letter to CBS:
Dear Sirs,
After watching Dan Rather again demonstrate his
partisanship I cannot help but wonder how in the hell you prople can legally get away with calling yourself CBS "News". Mr. Rather's complaints this evening regarding the President's campaign ads were just outrageous.
The article in the New York Daily that started this controversy quoted three people having a fit over these campaign ads. One of these people was Colleen Kelly, the leader of a anti-war group called "Peaceful Tomorrow" that trashes the President regularly. Another was Harold Schaitberger, the head of a firefighters union in New York that endorsed John Kerry for President at the start of the primaries. In fact there is picture posted on the internet of Mr Kerry and this union officer yucking it up at a celebration of that endorsement.
These "family members" that were "found" to comment are not just your average people, they are liberal activists with an agenda. It should be of no surprise to anyone that the media finds liberals to trash the President and pretends their just ordinary citizens without an axe to grind.
The President has every right, and in fact a duty, to remind us of the evil we face and the importance of facing it head-on. The use of images from the World Trade Towers to demonstrate this danger and his resolve in handling it is perfectly appropriate and I'm glad he's doing it.
The Kerry campaign and every other liberal interest group has used Kerry's
Vietnam service record to bolster his standing among the American People. Over 50,000 Americans died in Vietnam and Kerry's exploitation of his four months of combat duty
for political gain seems not to trouble Dan Rather in the least. Mr Kerry and Terry McAuliffe have used Vietnam in an attempt to discredit the service record of Mr Bush and CBS "reporters" played right along with it. If that is not exploitation of a sad historical event then what is. Dan Rather does not have an ounce of moral authority on this issue after participating in the trashing of President Bush over his National Guard Duty.
I Thought the job of a news organization was to present the facts to the people. It is quite apparent that Mr Rather has his own agenda and is little more than a mouthpiece for the Democrat National Committee. Mr Rather's stated desire for these ads to be pulled should prove once and for all that he is an extreme partisan and every time he claims to be impartial he is lying to all Americans. I find him to be a disgusting human being.
President Bush, through his steady leadership and willingness to put his own political future on the line, has certainly earned the right to remind the public of these facts through these images of the Destruction at ground zero.
Dan Rather and the rest of the Liberal Media
Propogandists can go Fuck themselves.
Sincerely,
Charles McFarling

Hey, I called Cong. Tom Cole-R (OK) as well. I wish every last one of you could have heard that interview with CNN's Liberal Judy Woodruff (Liberal Al Hunt's wife). He told her that if Pres. Bush lost, that the terrorists and our enemies would be thrilled. She said "are you saying we shouldn't have an election to let the people decide." He responded that yes we should have an election, but if the Prez lost it would give comfort to our enemies that GWB had been repudiated. He said the Prez had been the most agressive one fighting terrorist and defending us and he had done a brilliant job. Woodruff asked him if he thought that he should apologize and he said NO. Cole said if anybody aught to apologize, it should be the Democrats for absolutely savaging the President and calling him a liar and misleading the country, etc. He said, it's the President who is owed an apology.
I told Cong. Cole's office that I thanked God for the him and he had said what most of us thought, but had no way of saying it.

Just emailed the White House stating I thought the use of 9/11 scenes in the ad were totally appropriate.
Wouldn't make any difference what kind of ad they put out, the Dims would whine anyway.
Let them gripe. That's all they are good at.

Someone should ask her why congress (esp the dems) didn't stay planted in their seats when they learned what was happening.
