I was fortunate enough to view the Shroud in 1978. We stood in an emense line that day creeping slowly toward the Cathedral. When we reached it it was somewhat hard to see, as the image that you are viewing is actually a negative. I was so taken by the reactions of those around me. Their faith was mirrored in their faces. Later we strolled by the Cathedral after dinner and could see the scientists setting up their equipment. It had been a tremendous experience.

How blessed you are! I would give anything to see the Shroud. I understand that it is quite delicate due to age and is shown very infrequently.

You were so BLESSED!! I can't imagine what it must have been like, to actually have SEEN the Shroud.
I don't think we will be so lucky due to the handling of the Shroud and all that has happened (though by good intentions) I think it will be guarded even more. We will only get to see the photo's. But even at that, looking at the photo's is so amazing.
