It was 19 years ago, I couldn't tell because it was covered in either red or purple silk and then glass enclosed, and the order of nuns and priests (nuns had on Flying Nun type headpieces) held it and people came up to kiss it....just like the feet of Jesus on the Cross on Good Friday!! It's only exposed on Good Friday.
I thought I was in line ti kiss the Cross and when I saw it I didn't have any idea of what it was, but there were pamphlets in the back with all the info, so I got back in line and looked at it again. I was in Shock and Awe!!
