Your comments, your expression of gratitude and submission, are moving.
I kept saying under my breath throughout the movie:
"Thank you Jesus".. "Thank you". "Oh no".. "Oh Jesus.. I'm so sorry"..and then again.. "Thank you Jesus" and "I love you Jesus"!
And at the end.. when HE LIVED AGAIN.. I said softly "PRAISE GOD"!!!
Amen. AMEN!
It sure took on a different meaning after seeing and reading about the Shroud. As Christians we always knew He was crucified, but like my elderly parents said.. you just never "knew". I think Mel Gibson was right to "shock" us into realizing just how much He "suffered" for our sins, and what the weight of our sins were on this "man". Praise God!!
Also, I just found out about this:
http://www.shroudstory.com/sudarium.htm I'm only just hearing about it... but I find it interesting.
The Shroud I have no doubt of.
The movie on the second viewing,.. was so much more .. "deeper" more "emotional" and "real" for us. We "felt" the movie. But of course we could never "feel" it like our Father "felt" it. We've never had a movie even give us a "glimmer" of what He went through.. but this movie did.
We'll never be the same as Christians after having seen it. I don't know why no one ever thought of the Shroud of Turin. But I kept going to it in my mind. I wanted to research it before I saw the movie the first time. Because I remembered hearing it alluded to how violent Jesus had suffered. I had watched so many documentaries on it.
I'm so glad I did!! Then we saw the movie again, and after doing the research, and KNOWING that He truly suffered so horrendously.. I cried harder the second time. I was really drained last night. But also felt so good too. Jesus is so awesome! Well, I better run. I just posted a post on the latest research (restoration) on the shroud. Then I saw your post. So I didn't get to ping you to it. It is right before this. Take a look at it!!
I'm WORRIED!!
God Bless!
