Leahy is a criminal, plain and simple.

Unfortunately, he hides behind freedom of the press issues and will never be sanctioned for his disgraceful conduct.

The Republicans are right. We do need Constitutional judges on the bench to aid the war on terror. A dictatorial Socialist, i.e., activist judge, does not have the best interest of our republic in mind.
The Democrats, on the other hand, seem to feel a Constitutional approach to terrorism is a bad thing.

I suppose I should rephrase that to say, "never will be sanctioned in a way that stops him from doing it."

He has been finger slapped before.

My favorite part is where the Democrats complain about the Republicans focusing in on HOW the email was obtained rather than what is in them. OH THE IRONY!!!!!!!!

NOoooooo....It's apparent that republicans play political (ahem) no balls. Especially that ingrate (hock, spit) "Whorin' Orin".

I'm not going to defend Hatch, but when the Republicans publicized the Democrat memos on how they intend to obstruct the confirmation of judges, that was political hardball.

Disclaimers "at the bottom" are weak, compared with "disclaimers at the top".

I haven't digested the letters presented at the top, but my take is they represent hypocricy. The DEMs have also read memos that were not kept safe.

It's apparent that both parties play political hardball.

Which one, besides the Democrats?

We're still talking about process instead of content, and the GOP is still on the defensive, still playing on the Dems' terms.

Who wants to call Leahy's office and ask him about his leaking confidental Senate memos to his friends in the press.
