Plame was widely known in Washington as an employee of the CIA!

IOW, she was hiding in plain sight.

specifically not to publish the name of undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame
in his July 14 newspaper column.

I have a close relative in a sensitive position, if anyone published their name I woudld be livid.
