The U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, bolstered by dozens of additional agents temporarily assigned to Phoenix, has rounded up nearly 750 undocumented immigrants and arrested 20 suspected smugglers from 13 drop houses in the past 23 days.
The response marks a dramatic change from just a year ago when local police agencies, frustrated by the federal government's inability to deal with the illicit immigrant-smuggling trade flowing through Phoenix, frequently were forced to let undocumented immigrants and smuggling suspects go free after encountering drop houses.

Many CONSERVATIVES on this website were bitching that GWB wasn't doing anything about the illegal alien problem.
That he wasn't doing anything about closing the borders to illegal trafficking.
WELL, I told everyone things were being done, behind the scenes, quietly, but no one believed me.
What amazes me is that this article is just one of many about efforts by our current administration to deal with this problem, and yet, those same people will still scream nothing is being done.

Every time I see one of these articles I can't help wondering: What would be the response, if Mr. Fox was told:
Mr president, starting today, any undocumented Mexican found within the sovereign borders of the United States of America will be dealt with and treated exactly like "undocumented" American citizens are dealt with when found in Mexico.
Would Mexico run shouting to the U.N. about proposed human rights abuses?

This means approximately 400,000 have made it through undetected. Open you wallets when they get to your community.
"18,745 more than in the same two months last year."
Just coming over for the Presidents amnesty promise.
