Why do these unions support Hillary Clinton? What am I missing in understanding the thinking of New Yorkers and how they vote?

The unions want more money at their disposal. They are exploiting the tragedy as a way to demand more funding.
There is money allocated but there has been no plan submitted that would outline exactly what the funds would be used for.....they just want the cash NOW! Never mind the details.
