Nation Books is our co-pubishing venture with The Nation magazine. Notable 2003 titles include Gangs of New York by Herbert Asbury and Dreaming War by Gore Vidal.

Marlowe & Company publishes in the areas of personal growth, psychology, self-help, health, and healthy cooking. Notable 2003 titles include Going the Other Way by Billy Bean, The New Glucose Revolution, and Get On the Ball.

Seal Press publishes books on a broad range of subjects by and about women. Notable 2003 titles include Cunt by Inga Muscio and Mother Shock by Andrea Buchanan.

Shoemaker & Hoard, the Washington DC-based literary division founded by renowned publisher Jack Shoemaker, will publish its first list in the Fall of 2003 including titles by Wendell Berry, Guy Davenport, Anne Lamott, Gina Berriault, and Robert Aitken.

Avalon Travel Publishing is the largest independent travel publisher based in the United States. Its major series include Rick Steves' Europe, Moon Handbooks, Moon Metro, Foghorn Outdoors, Adapter Kit, The Dog Lover's Companion, and Road Trip USA.
