Have you seen his ship? I'd love to tour a modern sub to see how they're different. My cousin's husband served on a nuclear sub, if I remember correctly. That was quite a few years ago, though.

You must be so proud of your son! My nephew is at Annapolis, but he plans to be a pilot. He's a freshman and made the varsity hockey team. Proud Auntie thinks this boy is going places. :-)

I haven't gotten to see his sub, or even one like it. I'd love to go to Hawaii and see it there! I went there to see my brother when he was in the Marines. I was a spoiled 17-year-old at the time, so I didn't appreciate it as much as I would now. I got a guided tour of the communications room my brother worked in. I was bored. What I wouldn't give to go back and tour it again, without the snotty attitude.

He already has gone places, and will probably go even further. You should be proud.
