What do you think about Ryan's recent duck and run stategy. Two weeks seems like an awful long time for that to work? I'd rather he just speak up whatever the answers are.

Also, Mr. Ryan chose not to grace the Southland with his presence last night.

All the candidates last night expressed some degree of exasperation about Ryan's no show. Dr. K expressed something, but nobody was quite sure what it was.

General Borling was probably the most determined to get his hands on Ryan.

Any Borons, ooopss I mean Borling supporters, out there?

All of you asking about missing persons, for some of us life does not depend on the web. As with political organizations, we can pop in, participate sporadically without out saying "for better or worse til death do us part." I should be missing now. But I took ill, am on drugs and probably not Steve's best messenger tonight.

I can't even begin to describe how sad this thread makes me, particularly seeing it on FR. I'm utterly befuddled.

If you're befuddled, you're probably in the right thread. You fit right in with the rest of us.

It was interesting to see the Leader's "survivor poll" go from a two point Ryan lead to a 60% Rauschenberger blow out in the space of less than 24 hours.

Seems like someone was stuffing the box to me.

We'll see what the real poll says in two weeks.

As Johnny Z said.. either is a good conservative and if nominated is worthy of support.

Sorry for confusion. this thread is regarding Illinois GOP primary for US senate seat being resigned by Peter Fitzgerald. It makes more sense to us here in Illinois than all that Ahnold cr@p that went on in Kalifornia.

You gotta realize the poll was about who should be snuffed, not endorsed. It shot up to over 60% Rauschy (with a lot more votes than had been cast in their prior polls) when Jack!s paid staffers started the own feeble version of FReeping the poll.

I posted, and it is yet unopposed, on the Leaderboard that I was planning to start a FREEP THIS POLL THREAD here on FR to overcome their efforts. I did not do it out of respect for Fran Eaton, Leader mananging editor, who managed to make the RIGHT DECISION and snuff Ryan, despite the overwhelming poll calling for Rauschenberger to be snuffed. Had we in fact FREEPED the Leader's poll we may have won the battle but lost the war.

Now let's see how many out-of-staters who wander in here get confused.

Illinois Frepper Mega Ping!

Has anyone, and I mean anyone, upstate, downstate, outstate ... anywhere ... seen Jack! Ryan in public where the press or other candidates could get after him!

Word has it he's holed up waiting for the pizza guy.

We need news of any confirmed sightings!!

It seems Jack!'s gone missing because of unanswered questions that seem to keep arising. Enquiring minds want to know:

Paging Ryan, candidate Jack! Ryan (Harrison Ford need not apply).

The answers to these questions aren't going to kill your candidacy, but FAILING to answer them might. Don't think you can go missing, sit on your lead in the polls, and speak to us only via your TV ads through election day . If you should get lucky and hang on to win, we want to be able to support you come November. But with questions like these outstanding, the 'RATS will chew you up and spit you out!

If you can't fess up to us, how can we back you? We want to elect a candidate who can go toe-to-toe with Tom Daschle, and you seem to be havin' a hard time goin' toe-to-toe with your own supporters. An that's a fact, JACK!

The "Survivor" analogy came from the Illinos Leader, an online conservative news source. We have seven Republican candidates running for the Senate seat that is about to be vacated by Peter Fitzgerald.

Illinois is fighting for its life against liberalism. If this senate race goes to a dem, then its unmitigated disaster for us poor souls. More of our rights, such as R2KBA, will be further chipped away. Daley has his sights on becoming the emperor of the whole state, never mind Chicago. He is a full bore nut and must be stopped.

Whenever you hear of a wacked out gun control socialist regime story, you can bet it comes from Chicago. Same sex "marriage" is next on the menu. And don't even get us started on property taxes! Wouldn't you just love to live here? There's always room for one or two more at our house.

Yeah, why not? The more the merrier. Actually, I meant in Illinois, kind of like saying to people who live in states with normal governments: See how it can be? You don't know how lucky you are!

Ryan needs a voice coach to lower the range and make him sound like an adult.

Either that, or maybe he could switch from briefs to boxers.

I never liked JACK! anyway

Too much resemblance to a used car dealer

I am pretty much between Wright & Raushenberger now, I think I like Wright more, but can he win statewide

His people have done some calculation & say that if he can get 200,000 votes in the primary he will win it, and I think he can come close to that since he is the only candidate from downstate

I guess they figure 200,000 will be the most anyone gets in the primary considering the number of candidates
