The feedback I saw last night was the pattern was "consistent" wth trilobyte-like appearance.
I agree with Brett that we need to maybe check thoroughly for fossil records, may be next go around.
This shot was a tease in a way, I was hoping they would provide some additional ones of these objects just to keep Cydoniaheads from foaming at the keyboards unnecessarily. :-}

Well, I noted that on the panel there was no one who was labelled a geologist. Maybe one was, but I find it interesting that we didn't have anyone labelled as such.
I REALLY want to know more about what I am seeing.
Is there a ping list for the Mars threads? I keep finding them by chance and would really like to go back and look at some of the photos. I just saw the trilobite thing on this thread!!!

ESA will be imaging Cydonia. Hoagland and van Flandern are supposed to be on Coast tonight. Van Flandern is an eccentric astronomer; Hoagland is an edge-of-science journalist and showman. Might be interesting.
