Yes, as of now S.1805 is dead (assuming that the vote is closed and nobody changes their vote).

S.659 is still pending and could be brought to the Senate floor. However, I think Feinstein got the AWB amendment added to that one in committee, so it's no good.

There's also S.1806, which is an untouched version that was submitted with S.1805. If that one could pass a cloture vote and be restricted to very short debate and no amendments, it could be passed cleanly. However, if it gets another 30 hours of debate with the floor open to amendments, then expect it to get poisoned the same way this one did.

And, any Senator could throw the original bill in the hoppper and try again, with a new S.xxxx number.

It might be better to wait until next year on this issue, and kick some RINOs out and replace them with reasonable, conservative Senators.

I don't know what you all are going to do, but I think I will send a letter to Sen. Craig from Idaho and let him know that admiration for his efforts on this issue extend beyond the borders of his state.

I think I'll become a democrat so I can vote in more than one state.
