You are right - they are irrelevant.

O'Neill's "revelations" play only to hard core lefties. The rest of the electorate, if they even know who O'Neill is, will think he is spitting sour grapes.

Did you hear Cheney in Davos at the World Economic Forum answer a question about O'Neill's book? Cheney, having recommended O'Neill for the Treas Sec spot, poked fun at himself for having poor human resources skills!
