GA has no party registration.
There is a chance of crossover, of course.
I just don't want Cynthia McKinney running for the nomination, because I may just have to hold my nose and vote for Majette again in the primary.
I'm supporting Mac Collins.
Isakson is a RINO. He defines it.

As an Atlantan, I can tell you two things:
The State of Georgia will vote to re-elect Bush;
The AJC is asswipe.
To: COEXERJ145
The real question is what will the turnout be for the Rat primaries. With the exception of Iowa and N.H. the Rats have had below average turnout in almost every other state. The media has no trouble finding enough Democrats-on-the-street who are virulently anti-Bush to fill a column.
But, as you point out, aside from Iowa and New Hampshire, the turnout has been not only vitriolic...but pitifully small. It's as if the "Hate Bush" platform has appeal to only a limited segment of the party.
The media is reveling in a shallow pool...

With the lack of a 1st tier RAT running, is it possible for African-Americans to vote for Herman Cain in the primary?

I've always given the southern rats a little more credit for having SOME brains, but I guess they're just as stupid as the rats in the north.

Yes, but they won't.
The "R" after his name will be more than enough to keep them away.

I get it why the Lefty Media acts
this way, but it ANGERS me. What
I don't fathom is how the voters
quoted against Bush can live with
themselves - such idiotic & hate-
filled rhetoric against this man
leaves me dumbfounded.

"It's as if the "Hate Bush" platform has appeal to only a limited segment of the party."
Absolutely... what you just said is the untold story of the last 2 years of political punditry. The "hate bush" segment of the democratic party is big in hollywood and manhattan(the "bush is such a
F@$%ing idiot" crowd), but it offends working class democrats and defense-hawks in the democratic party. Zell Miller goes a long way towards representing both of those groups. I myself was a democrat(confessed Gore voter), but as a National Security hawk, I got more and more enraged with the bush bashing and now intend to vote for bush due to National Security issues mostly.
The WEALTHIEST 1% that John Kerry is always railing against is the democrats new BASE. Even african americans are turned off by the bush-bashing.

Is anyone keeping a running summary of average -vs- actual voter turnout in these dem primaries ?
I keep hearing its lower but can't seem to find the numbers because no one is reporting it.

. The AJC gave up the pretense of being a legitimate newspaper along time ago.
Isn't is something, we used to have the Constipation in the morning and the journal in the afternoon, the morning paper was liberal and the afternoon more conservative. Now it's all the same liberal slop.
Georgia left the democrat plantation and Ain't going back.

They want a president who will give them jobs. I guess that means Kerry for them because he can give them all jobs at one of the Heinz plants. Edwards can't help them, he's a lawyer.

"The WEALTHIEST 1% that John Kerry is always railing against is the democrats new BASE." That "Democrats are the party of the poor and downtrodden" tripe has outlasted its shelf life.
Instead, they are the party of privilege and preference. Populism is only a pose.
By the way, welcome aboard. In your heart, you were always a conservative.

Democratic Primary Turnout
Comparing 2004 with Previous Highs
|
Turnout for Democratic presidential nominating events in 2004 is off to a strong start. Voter participation in the Iowa caucuses came close to the record high for the event set in 1988, while turnout for the Democratic primary in New Hampshire easily broke the previous record for the number of ballots cast for a Democratic primary in the Granite State. An asterisk (*) indicates primaries that are conducted by the party, not the state. For a definition of the various types of voting systems, see the introduction to the chart, "2004 Nominating Season at a Glance."
