Rat Heads in the Cola Bottle

The NFRA is the quality control process of the GOP.

RINO's (Republicans In Name Only) are like rats heads in the Cola bottle. When you find a rat's head in a Cola bottle you don't just set it aside and buy another. You change brands, you tell others to change brands, and the word spreads like wildfire that the brand is not reliable. RINO's are like those rat heads. They destroy the Republican brand. Nevertheless, moderate to liberal RINO's hold sway over the Republican National Committee and seem to have most of the influence over the Congress and the Administration.

What's a Conservative to do?

The RNC and the Candidates call on us to support the GOP, build the GOP, help the GOP, and to fund the GOP. Is that the role conservatives should take and recognize that the GOP is at least better than the leftist Democrat Party? Should we be satisfied with the scraps of minimal tax cuts and a strong military while ignoring the open border, expanding welfare, pork barrel spending, and innumerable other offenses by the moderate leadership of the Party? Or, should we pack our bags and join the ranks of those who have relegated themselves to political meaninglessness and join the Constitution Party or some other losing Party?

You shouldn't do either one! You should join with those who recognize that we must aggressively take over the GOP. There is no good in building the Party, helping the Party, funding the Party or otherwise supporting the Party until we control the Party!

The premise most activist conservatives take is that if the RINO's are in control then they must reflect the majority of the membership of the Party. That is very much a false premise. Recent surveys show that 40% of Americans (registered to vote) are GOP. 38% of registered voters are conservative. On the obvious premise that nearly all the self-proclaimed conservatives are Republicans then what percentage of the voting Republicans are RINO's? I would suggest that as little as 10% or perhaps as much as 15% of the GOP voters are moderate to liberal. However, the moderates and liberals hold far more than their "fair share" of Party and elective positions. Indeed as little as 15% of the Republican National Committee is conservative. Not much better in other Party offices or in elective offices.

The Republican voter base is far more conservative than its leadership. In what is a masterful job of manipulation the RINO's have managed to discard the Reagan Revolution and place "Rat's Heads" in party and public office. These people refuse to reflect the principles that are expressed in the GOP platform, principles that won the GOP the majority in both Houses of the Congress and the White House, not to mention the state legislatures and governorships.

I am out to change that! The NFRA is the best organization to change that. By controlling the nominating process through the endorsement of true conservatives, then electing those conservatives, then changing public policy to that which is reflected in the likes of Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Pat Toomey, ect, we take the GOP where it ought to be. By "outing" the RINO's and then ousting them we improve our Party's electability nationwide. Consistency is the key to any market item. The best way to promote the growth of the GOP is to hold its Party and Public officials to the standard of that very mainstream, populist agenda expressed in the GOP platform. Having done so it will then be vital to improve and not weaken the standards it holds.

Beliefs
of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies

That all political power and influence should flow from the grass roots upward.

That all human rights are granted by God, not government and that government exists primarily to protect the God-given rights of its citizens.

That the Constitution was written by wise men under the inspiration of God and that the original intent of the Founders is as valid and binding today as it was in their day.

That the Constitution was written to govern a moral and religious people and it is being destroyed by those who are neither.

That the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. That sacred right extends to all persons regardless of age or infirmity and also would not allow for euthanasia, assisted suicide, or public funding for any of these practices.

That the traditional family is the foundation and cornerstone of our society and we will oppose any attempt to undermine or redefine the family unit.

That the founders never intended to separate God from government but did intend to prevent government from establishing a single state religion or inhibiting the citizen's right to the free exercise of religion in any setting, public or private.

That free market capitalism is the only economic system that creates the opportunities and incentives that will allow maximum productivity and prosperity for its citizens. It is the necessary partner of political freedom.

In the necessity of national sovereignty, we also consider it crucial to return to appropriate state sovereignty under the 10th amendment.

This reminds me of the tale in the 1960's of the Negro man who disappeared while working in the Pepsi or Dr Pepper bottling plant(The soda changes depending on the area of the country).
A few weeks later, while cleaning the soda pop vats, his bones are found in the bottom.

The father of one of my co-workers was a quality control inspector for a grocery chain. He had several soda pop bottles with moths and other insects in them. I found one with mold growing on the top of the soda in the bottle. I won't mention the grocery store but the soda was Cragmont brand.

RINOs are fifth columnists. I consider them to be counterfit product. Nothing wrong with the brand. Someone is making knockoffs.

Use the primaries to get the genuine conservatives on the ballot in the fall. Turn out at the primaries is often far too low. They are as important as the general election.

Hmmm, this is the best way I know to assure that Democrats win every election from here on out. The math is simple. You win by attracting more voters--not driving people out.

If you don't win any elections, it doesn't matter who controls the party. A successful political party tries to attract voters, not drive most of them away.
