It strikes me that we could have a stellar lineup of nominees in the most competitive open seat races:
North Carolina: Richard Burr
Florida: Mel Martinez
Louisiana: David Vitter
Illinois: Jack Ryan
Oklahoma: Tom Coburn
Plus multiple good choices in the more Republican open seats (SC, GA).

A key source in the Coburn Camp told me that he will open an office in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lawton, and Muskogee.

I'd been eagerly awaiting Coburn's annoucement.
Looks like Oklahoma will have another top-notch Senator and not an awful faux conservative rat.
