The election of Lincoln sparked the civil war in a country that was polarized after decades of building resentment. There are diametrically opposed camps in the US today. John Kerry could be such a catalyst for social upheaval.

I am of the firm belief that if the Left does not start to practice politics, which is the legislative art of compromise instead of the judicial hijacking of the law which has become their modus operandi, we will see a successon movement in my lifetime, possibly within the decade.

The election of 2000 proved that the common ground of love and loyalty to this union of states and the deference to the common good, no longer is in play.

The Democrats, in their determination to "win" at any cost, have shown that they use a coup, if necessary, to put their man into office.

Yes, the election of such an extremist as Kerry could be the instigation.

I would move to whatever state or states that decided to remove themselves from the Left, and remain true to the Constitution as it was written.
